Kristen Hope Norris and Wesley Robert “Hank” Williams, both of Palestine, were married Oct. 29 at Bella Sera Ranch of Palestine.
The Rev. R.F. “Dickie” Guthrie, grandfather of the groom of Palestine and Jake Norris, brother of the bride, of Longview read vows and prayed for the couple before an altar decorated with two pedestal arrangements of Japanese Maple Branches, cattails, crab apples, antique hydrangeas, coffee break roses, dark purple millet and chocolate cymbidiums orchids. Fall leaves outlined the pathway leading down the bridal path along with black wrought iron shepherds hooks and matching lanterns. Rows of garden chairs were arranged for family and friends and marked with raffia, antique hydrangeas, coffee break roses and dark purple millet.
Pumpkins and fall foliage and pots of burgundy mums were placed near the outdoor pavilion where the couple exchanged vows.
Parents of the bride are Steve and Tammy Norris of Palestine and parents of the groom are Steve and Effie Williams of Montalba.
Escorted by her father the bride wore an elegant ivory organza gown with ruching and ruffled trim. The empire waist featured beautiful beading detail. The skirt and chapel train were highlighted with elegant embellished lace. The bride wore a double scalloped edge veil and blusher that was outlined in metallic bead work and scattered with crystals. An ivory satin ribbon with crystal embellished slides was tied around her hair. She wore pearl and crystal jewelry and a silver cross necklace that was a gift from the groom. She committed her life to Hank Williams in her Tony Lama boots.
The bride carried hand-tied nosegay of coffee break roses wrapped in navy satin ribbon and held with an antique blue glass and pearl broach.
Attending the bride was maid of honor, Jessica Granberry, life long best friend of the bride and matron of honor was Nikki Chaffin, sister of the bride, of Palestine.
Bridesmaids were Michelle L. Norris, sister-in-law of the bride of Longview; and Mary Beth Williams, sister of the groom, of Montalba.
Attendants wore varied strapless, one shoulder, and halter top short navy charmeuse dresses with ruched waist and pockets and pearl accessories. Attendants wore brown Ariat boots, a gift from the bride.
They carried hand-tied nosegays with coffee break roses, antique hydrangea, monkey’s tail, chocolate cymbidium orchids tied with ivory satin ribbon.
Flower girl was Mykyla Brooks, cousin of the groom, of Palestine.
Ring bearer was Christopher (Tater) Norris, nephew of the bride, of Longview.
Candlelighter was Harrison Norris, nephew of the bride, of Longview.
Best man was Ryan Patton, best friend of the groom, of Montalba.
Groomsmen were Ricky Brooks, cousin of the groom, of Athens, Josh Bracke, cousin of the groom, of Texas City and Brandon Brooks, cousin of the groom, of Palestine.
Ushers were Patrick Bailey of Nacogdoches, Jordan Bentley of Palestine and Harrison Norris of Longview.
Providing music were Allen Durham, Music Masters of East Texas of Jacksonville and pianist, Kathleen Brown of Palestine.
A reception hosted by the parents of the bride, was held at the Grand Hall of Bella Sera Ranch.
House party members included Tarah Miles, life long friend of the bride and Jodi Brooks, life long friend of the bride.
Following a wedding trip to a nearby destination, the couple will reside in Lake Mary.
The bride is a 2009 graduate of Palestine High School. She is a licensed massage therapist of Stone’s School of Massage Therapy of Tyler and is completing her associate degree in Business at Trinity Valley Community College. She works for East Texas Physicians Alliance.
The groom is a 2009 graduate of Neches High School and has completed his welding certifications at Lincoln Tech in Grand Prairie and is employed by Oakwood Steel.
