12-11-11: Ruiz-George wedding

PALESTINE — Jessica Ann Ruiz of Plano and Jesse George, III of Palestine were married Oct. 22 at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church of McKinney.

The Rev. Bruce Bradley of Plano read vows before an altar decorated with fall arrangements of burgundy spray roses, orange dahlias, red hypericum berries and clean seeded eucalyptus.

Parents of the bride are Ralph and Joyce Ruiz of Plano and parents of the groom are Jesse Jr. and Mary Beth George of Palestine.

Grandmothers of the bride are Joyce Graugnard and Verna Ruiz both of Reserve, La. and grandmothers of the groom are Juanita Ferrell of Atlanta, Texas and Agnes George of Palestine.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory Victoria Nicole silk gown. The trumpet silhouette gown had a lace, strapless sweetheart neckline. The bodice was accented with pleated sild satin and silk organza ruffle. Completing the gown, covered buttons and loops cascaded down the back and finished the train.

The bride carried a bouquet of white hydrangea, circus roses, orange and dark purple mini calla lilies, orange cymbidium orchids, yellow tulips and yellow and red berries.

Attending the bride was maid of honor Katie Ruiz, sister of the bride, of Houston.

Bridesmaids were Lucy Waite, friend of the bride of College Station, Gia Virgadamo, cousin of the bride, of New Orleans, La. and Sarah George, sister of the groom, of Palestine.

Attendants wore black, floor length dresses designed by Jim Hjelm.

They carried bouquets of orchids, calla lilies, roses, tulips, dahlias, hydrangeas and berries.

Best man was Jacob George, brother of the groom, of Tyler.

Groomsmen were Joseph George, Philip George, brothers of the groom, both of Palestine and Randy George Jr., cousin of the groom, of Lufkin.

Ushers were Frank George III, cousin of the groom of Austin and Richard Miller Jr., cousin of the groom, of Tyler.

Providing music was harpist Juliette Buchanon, violinist Ordabek Duisson and cellist Belinda Viesca, all of McKinney.

A reception was held at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney and Bella Sera Ranch in Palestine.

House party members included Marissa Royall and Kristan Williams, friends of the bride.

Following a wedding trip to various Caribbean Islands, the couple will reside in Palestine.

The bride is a graduate of Texas A&M University and received a Masters Degree in communication disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is employed by Dynamic Therapy and works as a speech therapist for children in their homes.

The groom is an accounting graduate of Trinity University and received a Masters Degree in Taxation from the University of North Texas. He is currently a CPA and officer of George and Company, CPA, PC in Palestine.
