Berkemeier-Finley wedding

PALESTINE — Kevin and Gail Berkemeier of Dallas are delighted to announce the marriage of their daughter, Kelly Ann, to Kyle Wayne Finley, son of Larry and Kathy Finley of Palestine and grandson of Gene and Janet Kottke also of Palestine.

Kelly is a 2002 graduate of Greenhill High School and a 2006 graduate of James Madison University where she was a Division I scholarship athlete and graduated with a degree in Business Management. Currently, Kelly works as the District Sales Manager for Jason’s Deli in Houston.

Kyle is a 2001 graduate of Palestine High School and a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M University where he graduated with a degree in Psychology as well as a minor in Business.  Kyle currently works in the Oil and Gas Industry for SGS Corporation where he is an Operations Coordinator.  

The couple exchanged vows June 17, 2011 at West University United Methodist Church in Houston. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless fit and flare gown of ivory satin with hand beaded embellished crystal accents. The bride’s parents hosted a seated dinner and reception at The Alden Hotel in downtown Houston. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Armadillo Palace in Houston.

Carrie Bivins, cousin of the bride served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Wendy Wray, cousin to the bride, Megan Bull, Krysta Cannon, Andrea Long and Hillary Prince all long time friends of the bride. Miss. Lauren Wray served as the flower girl.

Bobby Jee, a long time friend and fraternity brother, served as Best Man. Groomsmen included brother of the bride Kyle Berkemeier, Geoff Bivins, Jesse George of Palestine, Osiel Mireles and Diren Patel, all long time friends of the groom.

Following a weeklong honeymoon in British Columbia, Kelly and Kyle will reside in Houston.
