Betsy Alison Bolton of Irving, formerly of Palestine, and Sunil Surendra Patel of Irving were married Nov. 20, 2010 at the Fairmont Hotel of Dallas with the Rev. Peter Andrews of Arlington officiating.

Parents of the bride are Raben and Debbie Bolton of Palestine. Grandparents of the bride are the late Jack and Jessie Bolton and the late Arthur and Mildred Brightwell, all of Palestine.

Parents of the groom are Surendra and Hansa Patel of Dallas. Grandparents of the groom are the late Bhaga and Bhikhi Bhaga and Dhani Gopaldas and the late Gopaldas Kala.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless diamond white gown in taffeta ruched throughout the entire bodice and draped asymmetrically to the skirt. Covered buttons adorned the entire length of the train.

The bride carried a bouquet of garnet red and tangerine orange dahlias, zinnias, hypericum berries, and marigolds. It was wrapped with lace from her mother's wedding veil with rings from maternal and paternal grandfathers attached.

Attending the bride was maid of honor Elizabeth Glass, cousin of the bride, of Burleson; matron of honor Rachel Bolton, sister-in-law of the bride, of Cedar Park; and bridesmaid Frances Hanks of Austin.

Attendants wore Georgette sarees in garnet red adorned with a beaded floral design with a beaded border. They carried bouquets of  smaller versions of the bride's bouquet.

Best man was Lucas Chaney of Allen. Groomsmen were Gladman Dibi of Dallas and Adam Bolton, brother of bride, of Cedar Park.

Usher was Arles Wells, friend of groom, of Coppell.

Readings were given by Brandon Jayroe, cousin of bride, of Palestine; and Priti Bhakta, friend of bride and groom, of Coppell.

A reception hosted by the bride's parents was held at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Dallas.

Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Irving.

The bride is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a degree in Secondary Education.  She is currently pursuing an additional degree at Dallas County Community College.

The Groom is a Ph. D student at the University of North Texas and is employed at IBM.
