Russell-Unger wedding

Kayelee Marie Russell of Elkhart and Samuel Josiah Unger of Palestine were married Dec. 16 at Bella Sera Ranch of Palestine. The Rev. Ray Parton of Palestine read vows before an altar decorated with white dendrobium orchids, hydrangeas, calla lilies and silver-lighted branches.

Parents of the bride are Jeff and Heidi Russell of Elkhart. Parents of the groom are Daniel and Tracie Unger of Palestine.

Grandparents of the bride are Mark and Cinda Amaral of Palestine, Dora Russell of Palestine and  Benny Russell of Palestine.

Grandparents of the groom are Bob and Jane Henderson of Palestine and Mary Tawater of Florence.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white Sottero and Midgley wedding gown covered in tulle and lace embellished with sequins and beads curving the hips and leading to fullness throughout the gently gathered A-line skirt and into the cathedral-length train. Scalloped edging framed the strapless sweetheart neckline and bottom hem.

The bride carried a bouquet of white peonies from Holland, white Nerine lilies and white Ecuadorian Eskimo roses created by LaTeeDa.

 Attending the bride was maid of honor Emily Goodman of Denton. Bridesmaids were Kimberly Russell of Palestine, Rachel Morgan of Elkhart and Hillarie Unger of Palestine.

Attendants wore silver strapless floor-length dresses and carried white mini calla lilies.

Flower girl was Jemma James of Palestine. Ringer bearers was Price James of Palestine.

Candlelighter was Anna Simpson of Josephine.

Best man was Gideon Unger, brother of the groom, of Palestine. Groomsmen were Samuel Unger of Palestine and Andy Holley of Waco.

Ushers were Daniel Unger Jr. of Seattle, Wash. and Joshua Unger of Palestine.

Providing music was pianist Nita Parton of Palestine.

A reception hosted by the bride’s parents was held at Bella Sera Ranch in the Grand Hall.

Following a wedding trip to the Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple will reside in Palestine. The bride attends Baylor University and plans to graduate in May with a major in business and a minor in religion. She currently works at Beall’s. The groom attends The University of Texas is working on a business management major and marketing minor.
