Services for Maurice “Zebb” Harris, 91, of Elkhart, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. James Coffman officiating. Burial will be in Guiceland Cemetery.
Mr. Harris died Wednesday in a Palestine hospital.
He was born Sept. 24, 1916 in Trinity. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Geneva Johnson Harris; three sisters, Jewel Gherette, Juanita Hallmark and Lucille Schmidt; three brothers, Henry Harris, Augusta “Buster” Harris and Shorty Harris.
He is survived by one daughter, Margie Crawford of Elkhart; one son, Thomas Maurice Harris of Livermore, Calif.; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Charles Crawford, Keith Crawford, Tom Cubstead, Jason Ribble, Benny Box and Cody Ribble.
Honorary pallbearer will be Jonathan Cubstead.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
