Virginia Sue (Susie) Williams

Graveside services for Virginia Sue (Susie) Williams will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wesley Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Clayton Douglas officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mrs. Williams died Tuesday at the David E. Foster Hospice Unit at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 14, 1942 in Crockett to Luther Nichols and Hazel Juanita Owens Dunn.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Robert Williams; and by her parents, Luther and Juanita Dunn.

She is survived by her daughters, Tonya Williams Meazell and Tina Williams Benton; her sons, David Earl Williams and Luther Duane Williams; sisters, Lela Lloreda of Biloxi, Miss., Francis Weir of DeKalb, Karen Huffman of Coto de Caza, Calif., and Teresa Cole of Palestine; a brother, Lawrence Dunn of Murchison; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Her smile and the echo of her laughter will truly be missed but never forgotten.

Pallbearers will be Billy Meazell, Jesse Meazell, Robert Benton, Jason Nealey, Josh Clapp, Chris Clapp, Robert Garner and Micah Blanton. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Boyd.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
