Knox R. Mitchell

Funeral services for Knox R. Mitchell, 92, of Frankston, will be  at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston. Burial will be held at Old Bethel Cemetery in Frankston under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.

Mr. Mitchell died Sunday in Tyler.

He was born Feb. 27, 1920 in Anderson County.

Mr. Mitchell was a rancher, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the Church of Christ in Frankston.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Mitchell; son, Roger Mitchell; brothers, Dennis Mitchell and Fred Mitchell; and sister, Sally Mitchell.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his daughter, Barbara Lang and husband Earl of Frankston; sister, Velma L. Smith of Katy; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Autry Funeral Home in Frankston.
