Jesse Stringham

Funeral services for Jesse Stringham, 87, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.

Mr. Stringham died Sunday in Tyler.  

He was born Jan. 13, 1926 in Port Lavaca, to Roy and Maggie Ruebush Stringham. He worked as a construction superintendent in Houston for 35 years, and was an elder for Aldine Church of Christ and Court Drive Church of Christ for many years.

Mr. Stringham was preceded in death by his parent; wife, Juanita Stringham; and his brothers and sisters.  

He is survived by daughter, Linda Andrews of Palestine; sons, Paul Stringham of Palestine, David Stringham and wife Jamie of Sayre, Okla.., and Daniel Stringham and wife Marilyn of Albuquerque, N.M.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Stringham, Stephen Stringham, Shawn Stringham, Lee Stringham, Lance Stringham and Christopher Stringham.

Condolence calls will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
