Services for Forrest Frix, 95, of Palestine, will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Chapel Palestine with Don Twiford officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.
Mr. Frix went to be with his heavenly Father on Dec. 28. He was born April 25, 1917 in Snyder to Deforest Frix and Thursie Jourdan Frix. He was retired from Calhoun Packing Plant, and was a member of Evangelistic Temple, the Masonic Blue Lodge and served in the Army Air Corp during WWII.
Mr. Frix was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eleanor Elliott Frix; sisters, Dorothy Ethridge and Wanda Twiford; brother, Garland Frix; and granddaughter, Darla Johnson.
He is survived by daughters, Glenda Johnson of Palestine and Arlena Lay of Waco; grandchildren, Steven Crouse and wife Julie of St. Louis, Mo., Dennis Crouse and wife Tammy of Garland, April Adams and husband Scott of Sherman and Greg Lay of Frisco; great grandchildren, Brian Crouse and wife Heather and Jason Crouse and Kyle Crouse of Garland, Chris Huffman, Amber Kasperian, and Mitchell Johnson of Palestine and Amy Isham and husband Jimmy, Jordan Adams and Robert Adams of Sherman; great great grandchildren, Sebastian and Jackson Crouse and Kyle Isham; and numerous nieces and nephews and all of his friends at Evangelistic Temple.
