Virginia Pouncey

Graveside services for Virginia Pouncey, 90, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Roselawn Park with the Rev. Rebecca New officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.

Mrs. Pouncey died Friday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 6, 1922 in Mansfield, Texas to Charles and Virgie Glass Stevenson.

She was a registered nurse and a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Pouncey was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Carolyn Pouncey Maxwell.

She is survived by husband of 67 years, Carroll Pouncey of Palestine; daughters, Lou Cauthron and husband Terry of Palestine and Melanie Pouncey of Waco; grandson, Stuart Cauthron; son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Ron and Karen Maxwell of Waxahachie.

Condolence calls will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
