Mary Alice Kohler

Graveside services for Mary Alice Kohler, 84, of Longview, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Garden of Memories Cemetery with the Rev. Lynn Willhite officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.

Mrs. Kohler passed away Thurday March 13, 2013 in Longview.  

She was born Oct. 20, 1928 in Mixon to Fred and Mary Andress.

At the age of 12 the family moved to Palestine. She married J.P. Kohler Jr. on Dec. 6, 1949. Mrs. Kohler spent her life taking care of her family, as her husband made a career with the railroad. She loved being around people and helping those in need.

Mrs. Kohler was preceded in death by her husband in 2008.  

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Don Rhoads of Longview; grandson, Wesley Solomon of Lewisville; granddaughter and husband, Rachel and Tyler Nutt; and great grandson, Brayden Nutt of Longview.
