Services for Ted D. Missildine, Jr. 87 of Palestine, are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today at Crockett Road Church of Christ Palestine, with Dan Manuel officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.
Mr. Missildine died Friday in Palestine.
He was born July 10th, 1924 in Palestine to the late Ted D. Missildine, Sr. and Birdie Alford. He was hospital engineer at Palestine Memorial Hospital until his retirement and was the owner of Ted’s AC Service for the past 22 years.
Mr. Missildine served as an Aerial Engineer with the U.S. Army Air Corp from October 1942 to November 1945 in Central Europe, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Normandy. He was married to Ruth Evelyn Gray on December 22, 1941 and celebrated 66 years of marriage before her death in 2008. He was also preceded in death by two sisters.
Survivors include daughters, Pamela Frick and husband Bobby of Hondo, Cheryl Amsler of Palestine and Lisa Mozingo and husband Steve of Carrollton; sons, Steve Missildine and wife Wyma of Palestine and Ted D. Missildine III and wife Charlene of Victoria, nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
