Bill Lively Sr.

— Funeral services for Bill Lively Sr., 83, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Bailey & Foster Chapel in Palestine with the Revs. W.E. Shiflet, Donnie Howard and Danny Shaver officiating.   Burial will follow in Guiceland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.

Mr. Lively died Thursday at Cartmell Home for the Aged.  

He was born Oct. 30, 1928 in Anderson County to Marshall and Allie Moorehead Lively.  

He was formerly on the Board of Directors of East Texas National Bank and served as the mayor of Palestine in years past.  He was a member of Bassett Road Baptist Church, and the owner of Lively Lumber Co.,

Mr. Lively was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Joy Dust; and second wife, Helen Lively.  

He is survived by daughter, Lana Robertson of Portland, Ore.; son, Billy Lively Jr., of Palestine; sisters, Joan Finch of Palestine and Nema Joyce Pierce of Kountze;  brothers, Victor Lively and Preston Lively, both of Palestine; grandchildren, Randy Lively, Sonny Robertson, Tiffanee Bean, Bo Lively, Jenna Robertson and Lisa Lively; great-grandchildren, Jacob Robertson, Stella Robertson and Frances Bean; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steve Knox, Dennis Knox, Sonny Robertson, Randy Lively, Rusty Lively, Jeff Lively and Francisco Beltran.

Condolence calls will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
