Services for Dovie Hazel Baumgardner Morton, 98, of Jacksonville, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville, with Frank Morton officiating.
Burial will be held at Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Morton died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 in Palestine.
She was born July 20, 1914 in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Morton was a member of Craft Baptist Church in Jacksonville and worked as secretary for Forrest Motors, Tommy Sullivan Ford, and Bill McRae Ford in Jacksonville for a total of 28 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Parlon Morton Jr., in 1986; grandson, Earl Kent Morton; brothers, Earl, Roy and Ralph Baumgardner; and sister, Julie Marie Moody.
Mrs. Morton is survived by her sons, Parlon H. Morton III and wife Pat of Lake Jackson, John Frank Morton and wife Bertie of Neches, Thomas Hayden “Tommy” Morton and wife Jackie of Jacksonville, and Olen H. Morton and wife V.J. of Jacksonville; brother, Thomas “Tinker” Baumgardner and wife Polly of Fort Worth; 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Parlon Morton IV, Scott Morton, Tommy Morton Jr., Keith Morton, John Morton, Mark Jennings and Randy Holman.
