Dr. Stan V. Skrepnek, of Palestine, Texas, passed away Jan. 27, 2013 at the age of 81. Memorial service will be held at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Ted Welty officiating. Services are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Olive; four sons, Douglas, of Irving, Texas, Barry and grand-daughter Katie, of Irving, Texas, Brian, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Grant and grandson Kyle, of Tucson, Ariz.
Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Stan married in 1954 while in medical school. They moved to the town of Peace River where he practiced medicine until moving to Palestine in 1978.
