Elizabeth Lorine Hall Smith

Memorial services for Elizabeth Lorine Hall Smith, 77, of Kerens will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Episcopal Baptist Church in Brushy Creek, Texas with the Rev. Gerald Hall officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mrs. Smith died Sunday at the South Place Nursing Center in Athens.

She was born April 14, 1935 in Henryetta, Okla. to Rosevelt E. and Ruby Holland Hall.

Mrs. Smith was retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice she was a guard. She was a member of the Episcopal Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elton Reed Smith; and a brother, Gerald Hall.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Ann Smith Young; a son, Terence Shaun Smith; three sisters, Pauline Sammons, Ethel White and Lacretia Dungan; a brother George Hall; four grandchildren, Shellie Castro, Charles Smith, Tina Serano and Chad Phillips; and two great-grandchildren, Alvie Serano and Kristian Smith Warren.
