PALESTINE —
Services for Irene Williams, 92, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with William Snidow officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Williams died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Cartmell Home for Aged.
Mrs. Williams was a very active member of Norwood Heights Baptist Church for many years and had a multitude of friends. She was loved by all who knew her as she touched many lives with her loving, thoughtful, and giving spirit. She will be remembered for her love of life and her humor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and seven sisters.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter, Patsy Jean Teel and husband, Billy Joe of Willis; two grandchildren, Rebecca Jean Lyles and husband Kenny of Spring, Joe Paul Teel of Willis; two great-grandchildren, Kirby Nettles and husband Jerry of New York, N.Y., and Evan Lyles and wife Naomi, currently serving in the military in Bahrain.
Pallbearers will be Herman Morton, Hassell Lambright, Bill Magee and Harold Northcutt. Honorary pallbearers will be Virgil Harris and Gordon Shattles.
