Floyd Edwin Frederick

PALESTINE — Funeral services for Floyd Edwin Frederick, 82, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel with the Rev. Max Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Frederick died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on Dec. 13, 1929, in Rusk, Texas.

Mr. Frederick lived in East Texas his entire life and enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. He also worked in sales for Cabells Dairies and Coca-Cola Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Frederick; son-in-law, Joe Anderson; and uncle, Richard Murphy.

Mr. Frederick is survived by two sons, Edwin Frederick and wife Vicki, of Elkhart and Mike Frederick of Jacksonville; two daughters, Kay Anderson of Palestine and Karen Frederick of Jacksonville; one sister, Ellen Cook of Jacksonville; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Anderson, Matt Anderson, Jacob Frederick, Jimmy Martin, Choice Batton and Perry Carrico.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of East Texas in care of Mildred Frederick.
