Funeral services for Lanny Malcolm Collett, 59, of Palestine, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Randall Reeves officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.
Mr. Collett died Monday at his residence.
He was born Aug. 23, 1952 in Dallas, to John Malcolm Collett and Allye Smith Collett.
Mr. Collett was a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad and a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Collett is survived by his mother, Allye Collett of Lancaster; daughter, Angie Huddleston and husband John of Palestine; son, Lanny “Mac” Collett II, and wife Raycheal of Palestine; brother, Jimmy Collett of Lancaster; grandchildren, Cliffton, Trenton, Jamie, Kayla, Callie, McCain, Chase, Mason and Kylee.
Pallbearers will be Chris Crane, John Huddleston, Jimmy Collett, Marshall Dorman, Ned Minton and Lanny Collett II.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
