Colton Brian Denney

Funeral services for Colton Brian Denney, 2, of Flint will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Bullard with the Rev.  W.E. Shiflet and Rev. Scott Brown officiating. Interment will follow in McKnight Cemetery in Cushing under direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home and Covenant Cremations of Bullard.

Colton died Sunday at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.

He was born May 12, 2010 in Tyler.

Our sweet Colton loved every minute of his two years. He was an energetic, precious and handsome little boy that was loved by so many. He was his daddy’s all-star and his mommy’s heart. He was “little brother” to two older sisters that loved him dearly. For such a little guy, he was a very large part of our family.

He is loved by his parents, Jeremy and Lindsey Denney of Flint and sisters, Ashlin Ann Denney and Brilee Laine Denney.

He is also survived by his grandparents, Beverly Lindsey of Bullard, George and Cindy Peoples of Nacogdoches, Bill and Sara Martinez of Palestine; a great-grandmother, Jacqueline Lindsey; aunts and uncles, Lauren and Craig Robinson of Longview, Felisha Miller of Palestine, Jacinda and Mike Porter of Nacogdoches and Regina Martinez of Red Oak; cousins, Hayden and Cooper Robinson, Clay and CheyAnn Miller, Hailey Porter, Taylor and Jordin Martinez, Brittney and Madison and Anthony Martinez; and a host of great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Jerry Denney.

Pallbearers will be Craig Robinson, Stanley Lindsey Jr., Rodney Luman and Bradley Pinkston. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Nelson, Hayden Robinson, Clay Miller, Cooper Robinson, great-uncles and Colton’s many cousins.

If desired, donations can be made to Southside Bank in the name of Colton Denney Trust or to the City of Bullard Park Fund in his honor.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
