Services for Jerry C. Fincher will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Strong Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Fincher died Tuesday at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
He was born Aug. 14, 1940 in Abbott, to Claud and Myrtle Hollingsworth Fincher.
Mr. Fincher was a guard and worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He served in the Army in Korea. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Mr. Fincher was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Shirley Dorsey Fincher.
He is survived by his daughters, Jerri Landes and husband Chris of Miami, Texas, Jeanette Fincher of Palestine, Jeannie Fincher and Jamye Fincher, both of San Antonio, and J.J. Lammert and husband Steven of Elkhart; sisters, Gin McCoy of Waco and Mary Ruth Heffernan of Huntsville; grandchildren, Nolan and Haley Landes and Gabby Gatica.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
