Dottie M. Cook

— Funeral services for Dottie Marion Cook, 85, of Palestine will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 at Crockett Road Church of Christ with Dan Manuel and Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cook died Friday, Dec. 28 at the Cartmell Home for the Aged.

She was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Chester, Texas to William M. and Pearl Ward Evans. Mrs. Cook lived in Palestine most of her life and was a long time member of the Crockett Road Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Vard Evans.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, James M. Cook of Palestine; two daughters, Sherea Norris and husband Chandler of Chandler and Brenda Herriage and husband Ken of Palestine; one sister, Juanita Cook of Ennis; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
