Funeral services for Gary Lynn Butler, 55, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Mr. Butler died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
He was born on April 23, 1957 in Crockett, Texas to Alexander and Gladys Butler.
Mr. Butler was a resident of Palestine for most of his life and was a member at the Faithful Gospel Church in Palestine where he was actively involved in the motorcycle ministry. Gary loved the Lord, his wife, and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Charles Norris II.
Mr. Butler is survived by his wife of five years, Karen Butler; daughters, April Butler of Elkhart and Amber Butler of Flint; three stepchildren; six grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
