Garrison 34, Frankston 14
The Frankston Indians got defeated Friday, twice.
First, the Indians fell to Garrison 34-14, spoiling the senior night of stars like Caleb Williams, Tye Griffin and Dustin House.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Frankston (3-6, 2-3) then saw its playoff hopes dashed as well.
Winona defeated 46-16, which gives District 10-2A, Division I’s third playoff spot to Winona, who defeated Frankston last week.
Shelbyville 36, Grapeland 30
The Grapeland football team’s chance a late-season playoff run fell short Friday, as the Sandies fell to Shelbyville, 36-30.
Grapeland (2-7, 1-3) needed wins in its final two games to make the postseason for the second-straight season.
The loss was Grapeland’s second-in-a-row after falling to Alto last week.
