Staff Reports
FRANKSTON — The Brownsboro Bears used a 20-point third quarter to defeat Frankston 44-31 Friday night.
Brownsboro (2-0) led by two points, 12-10, going into halftime but the Bears outscored Frankston 20-14 in the third quarter on three Zach Bailey touchdown passes.
For the second straight game, the Frankston combination of Treston Coleman and Dedtrick Smith led the way for the Indian offense as both players rushed for over 100 yards. Coleman led the way with 137 yards and a touchdown and Smith had 108 yards and two touchdowns.
But while Frankston's running attack was working, it was not enough to overcome the Brownsboro passing game. The combination of Bailey and Ryan Owens was 19-of-34 passing for 312 yards and four touchdowns.
