PALESTINE —
The City of Palestine has selected winners of its annual Holiday Home Decorating Contest this week.
“We doubled the amount of participants this year and those that participated did a great job. The scores were close and overall we saw many more homes decorated,” City of Palestine Event Coordinator Heather Hrebec said. “We hope that each year this event will grow and that people come to Palestine to look at the neighborhood lights.”
Winners in each category include:
• Toyland — first place, 1112 E. Angelina St.; second place, 1904 West Point Tap Rd.; third place, 304 5th St.
• Traditional — first place, 1512 Murchison St.; second place, 1200 N. Sycamore St.; third place, 208 Fort Houston Dr.
• Mayor’s Choice — 1200 N. Sycamore St.
• Honorable Mention — 1407 Crockett Rd.
