PALESTINE —
The Hospice of East Texas Tree Lighting Ceremonies, which honor the memory of a friend or loved one, will be held in 10 different locations throughout East Texas.
The celebration for Palestine and Anderson County will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Reagan Park.
Light Up A Life is the annual fundraiser for the Hospice of East Texas, a non-profit community-based organization. Proceeds from Light Up A Life enable the organization to provide exceptional end-of-life care to any patient and their families throughout East Texas despite their ability to pay.
A gift of $10 or more represents a light on the Hospice Tree in memory or in honor of a loved one.
The Hospice of East Texas has served the East Texas region for 29 years. Every patient and their family are surrounded with a team of physicians, nurses, certified nurses aide, social workers, chaplains, bereavement staff and volunteers.
All resources are tailored to the individual needs of each patient and their family to provide a quality of life and to celebrate life for whatever time remains.
The community is invited to honor the memory of a friend or family member by attending the Light Up A Life ceremony on Tuesday or by making a donation throughout the holiday season by mail to The Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas 75701.
