PALESTINE —
Commissioners will discuss the possibility of a burn ban and discuss the proposed tax rate, which will fund the fiscal year 2013 budget, during the Anderson County Commissioners’ Court’s regular meeting Monday
The meeting will be held at the Anderson County Courthouse Annex in the County Courtroom in Palestine.
Items on the agenda include:
• CONSIDER budget amendments
• CONSIDER approving bills
• CONSIDER approving utility crossing county roads
• DISCUSS and take action on burn ban
• HEAR from representatives of the Anderson County Juvenile Detention Center concerning contracts and agreements for secure short-term and long-term detention of juvenile defendants, long term residential for mental health and substance abuse and take action as necessary
• CONSIDER the Sheriff’s and constables 2013 fee schedule and take action as necessary
• DISCUSS correction to page 46 of the 2011 Annual Audit and take action as necessary
• DISCUSS and take action on Discretionary Service Agreement with Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC.
• DISCUSS per diem allowance and take action as necessary
• HEAR presentation by Anderson County Tax Assessor Teri Garvey regarding the Anderson County 2012 effective and roll back property rates and 2012 property values
• DISCUSS the proposed tax rate which will fund the FY 2013 budget and take action as necessary
• If the proposed tax rate will exceed the lower of the rollback rate or the effective rate, DISCUSS dates and times for public hearings and take action as necessary
• DISCUSS dates and times for public hearings on the 2013 proposed budget and take action as necessary
• DISCUSS 2013 proposed budget and take action as necessary
• DISCUSS and take action on Anderson County/City of Palestine Texas Tax Abatement Guideline and Criteria
Anderson County Commissioners’ Court will hold a public hearing on the proposed tax increase at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Anderson County Courthouse Annex in the County Courtroom of Palestine.
