Polar Express begins runs Friday
The Texas State Railroad is headed to the North Pole. Listen and you’ll hear the conductor call “All Aboard The Polar Express™” for an unforgettable journey departing the Palestine Depot starting Friday and running through Dec. 27 on selected dates.
Inspired by the award-winning book by Chris Van Allsburg, this classic holiday favorite comes to life as families take a memorable ride to the North Pole. Read along with the story as the train makes a round-trip journey. Meet Santa, enjoy caroling, hot chocolate and a treat. And, for those who believe, a special gift awaits each child. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas.
“Last year we sold over 31,500 tickets and had visitors from 19 states as well as many international visitors,” Lori Pennington, Texas State Railroad marketing manager, said. “Tickets are selling fast. We have already sold over 12,000 tickets.”
