Massey Lake trail ride set Saturday
The Massey Lake Trail Blazers Annual Ride will begin on Friday with a fish fry. The ride will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday at a new location, Wilsons Property on the corner of CR 2802 (second turn) and FM 2054 at Massey Lake in Tennessee Colony. The admission is $5 per person at the gate (children 12 years of age and under are free).
The trail will work whether you are riding or driving a buggy or wagon, a news release said. Four wheelers are welcome, but remember the horses have the right of way. Space is available to camp out if there is a need. Friday evening is the fish fry and will go on while the fish lasts. On Saturday, there will be food and drink available for a reasonable fee. Water is available for the horses. There will be a deejay on both days.
A current Coggins test is needed for the horses. The event will not be responsible for any accidents, a news release said.
