PALESTINE —
Anderson County has a chance to see a little snow on Christmas night.
“Overnight on Christmas Eve, there is going to be precipitation with rain and on Christmas morning after sunrise, there is an isolated thunderstorm chance with the rain,” National Weather Service of Fort Worth meteorologist Jamie Gudmestad said Sunday. “We are thinking the rain will switch over to snow in the evening time, after 7 p.m.”
While the best chance of snow is further north in the southeast Oklahoma area, Gudmestad said the further south has a decreased chance of snow.
“It will be light flurries — the ground is pretty warm and it’s not going to stick much,” Gudmestad said of the possibility of snow in Anderson County.
Christmas Day temperatures are expected to be near 53 with a low near 25.
