Church to give away school supplies to kids in Cayuga ISD

CAYUGA — For the second year, Judson Baptist Church in Cayuga will hold a Back to School Bash to give away school supplies for students in the Cayuga Independent School District.

This year’s Back to School Bash will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28.

“We will be giving away school supplies for Cayuga kids in grades K-12, serving hot dogs and cokes. We have three inflatable bounce houses including a water slide for the kids,” the Rev. Zeth Smith said. “Our main purpose is to give out school supplies to families in our community. We want to spread the word that we are here and want to help.”

At last year’s event, the church gave away more than 200 backpacks filled with school supplies.

“We think it will be a fun event for the kids so they can come out, enjoy a hot dog and have an afternoon of fun,” Smith said.
