PALESTINE —
Dogwood Trails Assisted Living and IntegraCare will host a monthly ladies breakfast and program at 8 a.m. Thursday at the assisted living center, located at 1625 W. Spring St. in Palestine.
The program, offered by PRMC Behavioral Health Services, is titled “Be Happy Again.” It will address issues of depression, anxiety and other mental health problems can prevent people from experiencing the fullness of life.
“It is not normal to feel sad, empty or nervous all the time…no matter what your age or mental capacity,” a news release said. “But it doesn't have to be that way.
“People suffering from mental health problems need to get help, but they are not the only ones who can use a kind word or supportive conversation. Caregivers often feel great stress caring for a loved one,” the report stated. “Learn how the right support can ease your burden or the burden of a caregiver you know.”
Palestine Regional Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Services offers both inpatient and outpatient therapy services for those needing help with mental health issues.
Adult and Geriatric Inpatient services offer individual and group therapy, individualized treatment planning, chemical and substance abuse education and referral, life management and coping skills and much more.
The New Pathways — Intensive Outpatient Services offers persons 55 years and older intensive group therapy (three days a week), medication stabilization and management, grief and loss education, life management and coping skills and much more.
All Behavioral Health programs are conducted and managed by licensed psychiatrists and licensed social workers.

The annual reunion of descendants of W.A. Collier will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Lakeview Methodist Conference Center’ Williams Building.
