PALESTINE —
The Palestine Independent School District's Board of Trustees is set to consider approval of the district's Design Build Project during a special meeting set for Thursday.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m. in the PISD's administrative offices' board room at 1007 E. Park Ave.
In April, the board approved hiring Arlington-based Buford Thompson Company as the design build firm for the renovation projects, including the Palestine High School Career/Tech Building; Northside Primary and Southside Elementary interior campuses; and a softball complex.
In addition to considering approval of the project, the board is also expected to consider the project's guaranteed maximum price, in addition to the fund balance's contribution to the project's cost.
Also on Thursday, the board is expected to consider hiring professional personnel.
The board's regular monthly meeting will be held Monday, June 18.
