PALESTINE —
Three local residents were arrested Saturday morning after a search warrant was issued on the structures, grounds and vehicles at a southeast Anderson County property.
Arrested were Jon Dee Brown, 38, of Elkhart; Timothy Mark Bowling, 50, of Palestine; and Holly Renee Miller, 37, also of Palestine.
According to Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor, the search and subsequent arrests took place at about 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at a residence in the 2500 block of Farm Market Road 2419.
“This was part of an ongoing investigation,” Taylor said. “Sgt. Brian Chason was following up on some leads, and on his way to enter the residence he noticed some drug-related items in a vehicle on the property.”
Chason obtained a search warrant, and with District Attorney investigator Allan Douglas and ACSO Investigator Sgt. Ronnie Foster, searched the residence, vehicles and outlying structures.
“In their search, officials found approximately 13.1 grams of methamphetamine and a couple of firearms in the house,” Taylor said.
Brown was charged with delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance (4-200 grams), $25,000 bond, possession of marijuana under 2 grams, $2,500 bond and miscellaneous charges, $500 bond.
Bowling was charged with possession of a controlled substance (1-4 grams) and released Sunday on $7,500 bond. As of Monday, Miller remained in jail for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram), $7,500 bond.
