PALESTINE —
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office of Anderson County will provide an educational opportunity for beef and forage producers Thursday at the Palestine Mall in the foyer near Bishop’s Brisket House, located at 2000 S. Loop 256.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with registration and a meal followed by the program from 6:15 p.m. to about 8:30 p.m. There will be a $10 charge.
Dr. Jason Banta, Beef Cattle Specialist with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will discuss supplemental feeding and body condition scoring of cattle. Dr. Vanessa Olson, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Forage Specialist will discuss Winter Pasture Fertilization and Winter Annual Weed Control.
Pesticide applicators can earn 1.5 continuing education units toward their renewal of their license. The meal will be provided by Eldorado Agricultural Products and Heritage Land Bank.
