PALESTINE —
The Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its quarterly luncheon on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
Special guest speaker Lucinda Presley, a nationally recognized education innovator, will provide an update on the importance of integrating innovation thinking with K-16 education, what is being done nationally to address this, and how Palestine fits in the picture.
The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ben E. Keith Community Room, 2019 W. Oak St. in Palestine.
“Lucinda spoke to us last January and we are honored to have her speak to us again and thankful to all of the innovative things she brings to education in Palestine,” Chamber Executive Director Meghan Hill said.
The Business of the Quarter and Ambassador of the Quarter also will be announced.

Traffic stop leads to arrest
A Palestine man remained in jail Monday on drug-related charges following a suspicious vehicle stop in Anderson County on Saturday.
According to Sheriff Greg Taylor, while on patrol in the early morning hours on Saturday, deputy Johnny Gorden saw a suspicious vehicle sitting on the side of U.S. 287 between Palestine and Elkhart. -
