Former jailer indicted
PALESTINE — A 27-year-old former Anderson County jailer has been indicted by an Anderson County grand jury on two counts of prohibited substance in a correctional facility, according to records released by the Anderson County district clerk’s office.

The third-degree felony is punishable by two to 10 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and a fine not to exceed $10,000.
Authorities have said that Bryan knowingly permitted an inside trusty of the jail to bring two bags of Bugler smoking tobacco into the jail.
