PRMC awards scholarships to students

PALESTINE — For the fourth year in a row, Palestine Regional Medical Center selected five area students to each receive $2,000 each in scholarship funding. These scholarships targeted students seeking higher education in a health care related field including nursing, physical therapy, medical technology, etc.

Students selected this year were Leslie Paige Brown, Palestine High School; Jeremy Lavell Bailey, Palestine High School; Megan Massengale, Buffalo High School; Jennifer Grant, Westwood High School; and Morgan Williamson, Elkhart High School.

All of these students were selected by committee on the basis of their applications, transcripts and letters of recommendation.

“We appreciate the value of helping our local young people receive education and training in the health professions,” said PRMC CEO Tim Flusche. “Hopefully, they will choose to remain in our communities to seek employment after they have completed their education.”
