PALESTINE —
Anderson County commissioners approved juror reimbursement amounts and several annual or required reports during their regular meeting Monday.
Regarding juror payment, the commissioners’ court agreed to maintain the current juror reimbursement amount of $6 for the first day $40 for subsequent days of jury service for the upcoming year.
A portion of those amounts, commissioners said, are reimbursed by the state.
Also during the meeting, commissioners approved the transfer of the Precinct 3 constable’s 2003 Dodge 1500 Quad Cab Truck to the Precinct 3 Road and Bridge department.
The effective date of that transfer will occur in 2013, when the constable is set to receive a new vehicle.
In other business, the court:
• APPROVED minutes from Aug. 13 and Aug. 21 meetings.
• APPROVED bills, with two additions — one of those being expenses for remodeling at the old county barn. Funds for that project come from the courthouse repairs budget.
• APPROVED certification of Asset Forfeiture reports to be sent to the Attorney General’s office.
• APPROVED Xerox renewal contract for County Clerk’s office at a rate of $248 a month for three years.
• APPROVED the Annual Road Report for Precincts 1, 2, 3 and 4.
