12-27 Batchelor-Pickard wedding
Kalyn Batchelor of Neches and Mark Pickard of Cushing were married Oct. 24 at Love’s Lookout of Jacksonville.
The Rev. Charles Grasty of LaRue (New York Baptist) and the Rev. Nathan McBride of Neches performed the ceremony.
Parents of the bride are James and Sharon Batchelor of Neches and parents of the groom are Bobby and Grace Handler of Cushing.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a silk faille A-line gown with lace embroidered cap sleeves, empire waist, lace appliqués and pick-up detailing on the skirt with a chapel train.
The bride carried a bouquet of white and purple roses.
Attending the bride was matron of honor Casey Griffith, sister of the bride, of Tunkhannock, Pa.
Bridesmaids were Lindsey Batchelor, sister of the bride; Heather Simmons, both of Neches; Brittany Todd of Montalba and Jessie Lewis of San Marcos.
Attendants wore teal satin floor-length dresses with double spaghetti straps and a beaded empire waistline. They carried bouquets of purple roses.
Flower girl was Bella Rains of Tyler.
Best man was Bobby Handler, step-dad of the groom, of Cushing.
Groomsmen were Jeff Hilpert of Magnolia, Anthony Williams and Trent Parrish, both of Cushing.
Ushers were Revis Kelley of Jenks, Okla. and Terry Burelson of Angelton.
Providing music was soloist Amy Kelley of Katy and violinist Carol Deptula of Nacogdoches.
A reception hosted by parents was held at Love’s Lookout.
Following a wedding trip to Daytona Beach, Fla., the couple will reside in Magnolia. The bride is a graduate of Neches High School and Trinity Valley Community College and has an associate degree in drafting and design. The groom is a graduate of Cushing High School and is working on an engineering degree. Both are employed by Hiltech Engineering in Tomball.
