Rivera-Killion wedding
Wendy Jane Rivera and Adam Cody Killion, both of Elkhart, were married Nov. 14 at The Legacy of Jacksonville.
The Rev. Brian Upchurch of Waco read vows before an altar decorated with flowers in fall colors including persimmon, orange, white and cream consisting of tiger lilies, calla lilies and orchids. The center piece of the arch was a swag of flowers, grapevines and tulle.
Parents of the bride are Robert Rivera of Tyler and Paula Heckman of Aurora, Colo. and parents of the groom are Mark Killion and Terri and Jack Wilmoth, all of Palestine.
Escorted by her parents, the bride wore an Alfred Angelo gown with net over satin metallic, re-embroidered lace with crystal beading and sequins with a mermaid silhouette with a V-neckline and semi-cathedral train.
The bride carried a bouquet of calla lilies, tiger lilies and orchids accented with feathers.
Attending the bride was matron of honor Terri Wilmoth, mother of the groom of Palestine.
Bridesmaids were Brooke Thornton of Palestine and Jessica Briggs of Jacksonville.
Attendants wore chiffon dresses by Alfred Angelo in the color of persimmon with black sheer chiffon shrugs and black multi strap heels. They carried bouquets of tiger lilies.
Flower girl was Jayme Sue Pace of Palestine.
Ring bearer was Beau Froehlich of Palestine.
Co-best men were Mark Killion, father of the groom and Jack Wilmoth, stepfather of the groom, both of Palestine.
Groomsman was Cary Daniels of Lake Dallas.
Ushers were Robert Rivera, Jr. and Daniel Killam, both of Aurora, Colo.
After a wedding trip on a five-day Caribbean Cruise, the couple resides in Elkhart.
The groom is a graduate of Slocum High School and is employed by East Texas Fire Protection.
The bride is a graduate of Palestine High School and is employed by 2-Rivers Royalty LLC.
