This letter is to the woman who parked her white truck underneath the arch at the front door of Palestine Regional on Friday, April 17, blocking the driveway for everyone else.
It was raining cats and dogs that day and I brought my husband for tests on his throat. He suffered a third stroke and severe paralysis of his throat. Needless to say when we arrived I could not unload him and get a wheelchair except in the rain as your truck had the entrance blocked. I went inside to get the wheelchair and asked the lady at the front desk to ask you to move your truck. She said for me to bring her the license number and she would call it out as you had already been blocking this exit for some time.
She called out your license number and you never responded. While I unloaded my husband in the rain, two other people did the same thing. I found out later that one lady had to walk with her oxygen bottle in the rain also. A gentleman brought three little elderly ladies from the nursing home and he too had to unload them in the rain.
Since you never responded to the page to remove your truck this gentleman took it upon himself to find you. You were on the third floor and your excuse was and I quote, “You did not want to get wet.”
I also understand that you were a young person. My question to you is this. Do you think these elderly people with all their health issues needed to get wet because of your selfish and inconsiderate act?
From now on I want to go on record as saying that if this happens in the future the hospital should call a wrecker and have these vehicles removed. I was soaking wet and by the way I was suffering from a terrible cold and have two knee replacements and an inflammation of the ankle. Since you are the kind of person you are you will probably think this is funny. Believe me dear, what goes around sooner or later comes back around!
