Claire Elizabeth Nichols of College Station, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Nichols of Lake Jackson, will be married May 19 to 2nd Lt. Nicolas Gruning U. S. Army, of Columbus, Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gruning of San Marcos. The wedding will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palestine. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Davis Jr. of Palestine and the late Dr. and Mrs. Charles W. Nichols, also of Palestine. The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Bartell of Mason City, Iowa and the late Mr. and Mrs. Rolf Gruning of Gulfport, Miss.
