Pair indicted for robbery
Two Palestine teenagers have been indicted by an Anderson County grand jury in connection with the robbery of a local convenience store in October.
Peter Jermaine Dudley, 19, and Erikk Ramone Traylor Jr., 17, both of Palestine, were indicted on the felony charges of engaging in organized criminal activity and aggravated robbery on Nov. 18, according to information released by the Anderson County district clerk's office.
Dudley and Traylor were arrested shortly after 8 p.m. on Oct. 15 following the commission of an aggravated robbery of Pic N Go convenience store at 1009 W. Palestine Ave.
Palestine police had staked out the convenience store following similar robberies on Palestine Avenue during the previous two days, police have said.
Following the robbery, Dudley, Traylor and a male juvenile suspect ran south out of the store, according to police.
Steen, with an assist from a citizen, detained Traylor, while a local homeowner was able to detain Dudley until officers' arrival, police have said.
The male juvenile was taken into custody the following day, authorities have said.
Two of the offenders arrested in connection with the Pic N Go robbery are believed to have participated in the robbery of Brianna's the previous night, according to authorities.
