Police beat for Oct. 20
The following items were taken from reports provided by the Palestine Police Department.
Oct. 20
• 12:34 p.m. -- Theft, 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Complainant reported his camera had been stolen.
• 12:25 p.m. -- Warrant service/possession of marijuana, 300 block of E. Pine Street. Subject was arrested for multiple PMC warrants and possession of marijuana.
• Midnight -- Graffiti, 400 block of Micheaux Street. The complainant said an unknown suspect spray painted the outer portion of the building.
• 3:35 p.m. -- Theft, 1600 block of S. Loop 256. Complainant stated that two MP3 players were stolen.
• 4:30 p.m. -- Theft, 100 block of Kickapoo Street. Complainant reported that his wallet was stolen from his apartment.
• 10:30 p.m. -- Terroristic threat, W. Reagan Street. Complainant reported threat.
Oct. 21
• 12:38 a.m. -- Criminal mischief, 200 block of Sixth Street. Unknown subject broke the back window of a pickup truck and keyed the driver’s side of the vehicle.
• 7:15 a.m. -- Criminal mischief, 1600 block of Murchison Street. Complainant reported a criminal mischief
• 3 p.m. -- Theft, 3100 block of W. Oak Street. Complainant reported theft of property from Donut Palace No. 2.
• 5:32 p.m. -- Accident involving damage to vehicle/warrant service, 100 block of Shady Oaks Street. Officers responded to the 2600 block of W. Oak Street in reference to a hit and run.
• 10:43 p.m. -- Criminal mischief, 700 block of E. Park Avenue. Unknown subject hurled a football sized pumpkin at the windshield of a NAPA auto parts delivery truck causing damage.

Four arrested in connection with pipe theft
Four Anderson County residents have been arrested in connection with the theft of several thousand pounds of scrap metal pipe earlier this month.

Three in custody after authorities seize meth
Authorities have three suspects in custody after they say they seized more than 4 grams of methamphetamine and approximately $6,500 cash Tuesday during the execution of a search warrant at a local residence.

Traffic stop ends in arrest of 2 Houston Co. men
Two Houston County men were arrested early Sunday morning following a traffic stop inside the Palestine city limits, with one charged with possessing the drug commonly referred to as PCP.

Man arrested after hiding in attic
With an assist from a local volunteer fire department, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office was able to arrest a 39-year-old Palestine man on a warrant last week.

Anderson County sheriff’s authorities arrested three people on drug charges Friday afternoon at a local hotel, seizing more than $500 cash from one of the suspects.

A 29-year-old Palestine man was arrested Tuesday after authorities say he sold a shotgun to a local pawn shop which was stolen during a 2001 Gregg County burglary.
