The United Methodist Women of the First United Methodist Church of Palestine serve portions of recipes from the UMW cookbook Tuesday during their 13th annual Feast of Goodness luncheon at the fellowship hall. The menu included chicken and dressing, cranberry relish, broccoli salad, sweet potatoes, green beans, jalapeno corn, homemade rolls and a choice of two desserts. Music was provided by Burke and Gloria Murdock as the East Neches Street Banjos. All proceeds from the luncheon are used to support local missions, including the Crisis Center, St. Stephens’ Ministry, Palestine Food Bank on Court Drive, FUMC Vacation Bible School, Hospice, Living Alternatives, FUMC youth programs, FUMC children programs, Sacred Heart Catholic Church Food Bank and Sanctuary House (Palestine).
