1-24 dulcimer concert at CHA.JPG

Students and staff at Christian Heritage Academy were treated to a visit and mini concert by well-known mountain dulcimer player Don Pedi of Asheville, N.C. recently. Pedi made the stop while on a multi-state tour teaching mountain dulcimer workshops and playing concerts at festivals. Pedi, center, was accompanied by longtime Palestine friends Roxanne Curbo, left, on upright bass, and John Curbo, right, on guitar and mandolin. Pedi performed in the barn dance band in the 2000 movie “Song Catcher.” He will return to Palestine in March for the Palestine Old Time Music & Dulcimer Festival.
