Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 991 member Vernon Denmon Jr., who also is a Palestine City Council member (right, holding small flag), thanks Vietnam veterans who served their country as the Cost of Freedom Tribute Ride containing the American Veterans Traveling Tribute — a traveling replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall — makes a short stop in Palestine Thursday at the Anderson County Courthouse Square. The Vietnam Memorial Wall traveling exhibit will be open to the public today through Sunday at the Lone Star Military Appreciation Event at the K.E. Bushman Celebration Center in Bullard.
